Welcome to the modern dental practice of Dr med. dent. Matthias Rymann, your specialist dentist for orthodontics (CH) in the heart of Kriens, near Lucerne.
We specialise in jaw misalignments and dental corrections and offer a broad range of treatments for children and adults.
We place a strong emphasis on our relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Our experienced team ensures you feel comfortable here.
The personal consultation forms the foundation for a trusting relationship between dentist and patient. We therefore consider it highly valuable.
Our young patients are particularly important to us. Sensitivity and patience are just as important as orthodontic expertise when it comes to treating children successfully. As the father of four children, Dr Rymann understands the sympathetic and sensitive approach necessary with young patients.
In accordance with a directive issued by the Lucerne cantonal pharmacist, all dentists have been obligated since 2013 to establish a quality assurance system for their procedures, covering areas such as hygiene measures, facility equipment and documentation of the storage of instruments.
The Rymann Practice sterilises all forceps used in the oral treatment of patients. All bending pliers and instruments used in the oral treatment of patients are sterilised and stored in line with these hygiene standards. The Rymann Practice has been certified for the implementation of these measures by QuaSi (www.quasi-concept.ch).
The costs of treatment – for example, for dental braces – depend on the nature of the jaw misalignment or dental correction and the chosen treatment method.
Once we have discussed the therapy with you, you will receive a detailed overview of the costs in writing.
Treatments by orthodontists are billed progressively according to the tariff of the Swiss Society for Dental Medicine (SSO).
Depending on which insurance policy parents have chosen, costs are partially reimbursed by the health insurer.
In serious cases, the Swiss Disability Insurance (IV) may assume the costs. We clarify whether the Disability Insurance will pay for the costs of treatment when evaluating the planning documents (x-ray images, photos, models etc.).

The tax point value of our dental practice for orthodontics is CHF 3.10 when applying the old tariff and CHF 1.00 when applying the new tariff (since 2018). Both tax point values correspond to the social security tariff.
Due to our membership in the Swiss Dental Association (SSO), we apply the SSO tariff in our dental practice.
